Should I switch banks? I am 19, and have absolutely no credit. I just got denied for a credit card by my own bank, and it seems that they do not care that I have $15k savings and $1k checking, only about credit history. Right now I am trying to build credit so that I can eventually buy a house, but not being a student is making it harder to get a credit card. I am looking at maybe switching to Bank of America since they offer a secured credit card, and by switching I would get my parents names off of my Accounts. Any thoughts?
